The Challenge
WCLC 2025 presented an opportunity to further strengthen engagement across the global lung cancer community. Alongside rebuilding participation following the pandemic, IASLC and ICS aimed to introduce new initiatives that would bring delegates together in more meaningful ways.
This included creating a central IASLC presence within the exhibition hall, delivering a memorable social event for attendees, and redesigning the closing ceremony to encourage greater participation.
The Results
WCLC 2025 delivered record abstract submissions and attendance levels matching the highest participation seen prior to the pandemic, reflecting the continued growth and engagement of the global lung cancer community.
Several new initiatives introduced during the conference helped strengthen connections among delegates and elevate the overall attendee experience.
The IASLC Zone
A central hub in the exhibition hall where delegates could connect with IASLC, explore its initiatives, and engage with the global lung cancer community.
Celebration Night
An unforgettable evening at Tibidabo Amusement Park, bringing delegates together for networking, entertainment, and community building.
Closing Lunch
The closing ceremony was reimagined as an interactive lunch featuring a trivia-style game show that resulted in record attendance for this final session.
